Yes, absolutely. Just send Ewe Design an email providing details of the design you want, quantity and, where applicable, the information required for the outside of the card such as baby's name and gender. Ewe Design will then send you a Paypal invoice for the full amount and once payment is received, production will begin. Then, once you know the remainder of the baby?s details that are required for the insert (weight, length, etc) all you have to do is send Ewe Design an email with the outstanding information. By this stage, the card outers will have been made, and all that Ewe Design has to do is finalise the insert wording and layout; obtain your approval; print and attach them to the outers; and pop them in the post. This allows Ewe Design to get your order to you sooner than if the entire order has to be made after the baby?s arrival.
Yes. In the order form, you have the option to request a proof of the insert wording and layout before production begins and Ewe Design strongly recommends that you select ‘Yes’ for this option (there is no charge for this service). Once you submit your choice of wording, Ewe Design will set it out in a Word file which is emailed to you. You will be asked to check spelling, font, layout and wording. If you decide to change anything, you will receive a revised proof(s) until you are 100% happy with how it looks. It is important that you check your emails regularly during this stage of the process to avoid unnecessary delays in processing your order (Ewe Design prefers to communicate via email during this phase of the process to avoid troubling you with inconvenient phone calls, eg just at the point when your new arrival has nodded off after hours of rocking!) Once final approval is received, production can begin and no further changes can be accepted.
It is important that you receive your order as soon as possible after your baby’s arrival – after all, you want it to be news, not history! Ewe Design aims to dispatch your order within five days of receiving sign-off for the insert wording from you. This assumes that all materials for your chosen design are in stock. If they are not, Ewe Design will contact you immediately to discuss your options.
Before I place my order, can you send me a sample of the design I am interested in so I can ‘see it in the flesh’?
Yes. However, unfortunately due to the cost of materials, postage and time taken to produce these unique cards, a non-refundable charge of £3 per individual sample card requested is made.
Can I get the envelopes in advance so that I can get them addressed and stamped before the baby comes? It will be one less thing to worry about!
Yes. Simply send Ewe Design an email stating which design you would like and the quantity required. Ewe Design will then send you a Paypal invoice for the full amount and once payment is received, your envelopes will be dispatched to you and production will begin. Then, once you know the remainder of the baby?s details that are required for the insert (weight, length, etc) all you have to do is send Ewe Design an email with the outstanding information.
Ewe Design has tried to keep postage and packaging to a minimum. Due to items going astray when mailed by standard first-class post, Ewe Design now mails all inland items by recorded delivery. Sadly this adds a small amount to the postage but hopefully it will ensure more secure delivery of purchases. Please note that the most secure postage options for international items will be sourced on an order-by-order basis and agreed with customers before dispatch. Postage for international items will be billed separately through Paypal and payment must be received by Ewe Design before the order is dispatched. The rates depend on the order quantity – please click on the link to see the postage rates for birth announcement cards or here for invitations.
Ewe Design will do as much as possible to meet customer requests. If you have something specific in mind, simply phone or email Ewe Design to discuss this in more detail.
Please contact Ewe Design immediately. The matter will be referred to the Royal Mail for investigation and ewe Design will do its utmost to replace damaged goods as soon as possible.
Please contact Ewe Design immediately. If the inserts have not been printed then there is every chance that the change can be made. However, if printing is complete but the inserts have not yet been attached to the card, they can be amended and reprinted for a small additional charge. If, however, the inserts have been attached to the card, the order is deemed to be complete and Ewe Design will be unable to make any amendments.
Some materials, such as metal charms, are purchased from America and, although Ewe Design holds a reasonable working stock of all materials, there may be periods where, due to demand, there is insufficient to complete your order. In this eventuality, Ewe Design will contact you to discuss options. Delivery times from America can be lengthy so, to avoid unacceptable delays, it may be wise to select an alternative design.
I want to order more than 80 cards but your price table does not cover this option. What should I do?
Please contact Ewe Design, mentioning the product code you are interested in, the quantity you require and also let us know where you are, eg UK or abroad (if abroad, please provide name of country). Ewe Design will then provide you with a quote and, should you then decide to proceed with placing an order, you will receive a Paypal invoice for the full amount due.
What happens if I place my order before the baby comes and I have to change, or cancel, my order for whatever reason after production has begun?
As Ewe Design will have bought in, and used, materials and will have spent time making up your order, only a 30% refund can be made. You will receive this either through Paypal, if that was how you paid for your order, or by cheque.
This is due to the variation in calibration of monitors and Ewe Design has no control over this.
I would like to send some birth announcements to family in France - can you do some in English and some in French?
Yes, this not a problem - assuming, of course, that you provide the foreign text! I am happy to work in any foreign language and have already provided announcements and invitations in French, Dutch and Italian.
