WELCOME TO EWE DESIGN
ABOUT OUR RUGS
#ecofriendly #sustainablewool #consciouscrafter
Our Vegetarian rugs, throws and seat pads are handmade in Lincolnshire from the fleeces of rare breed sheep. They are made to the highest standards by two passionate craftswomen using the age-old technique of wet felting which locks the fleece together.
At Ewe Design we are passionate about our 100% natural rugs, no chemicals or dyes are used, which helps to preserve the integrity of our soil and waterways. Each creation is a natural beauty and made to last.
Natascha and Harriet are two friends who love the outdoor life.
Harriet has a background in fashion and design and Natascha is an accountant by trade but also manages a smallholding to allow her to keep her own livestock.
We are both passionate about sustainability and ethically sourced, local products.
Our shared interests were discovered 4 years ago when we rescued a couple of new born lambs and hand-reared them. Lucky and Nibbles grew into strong healthy ewes and have both had lambs of their own, they still recognise us to this day.
Lucky and Nibbles started Natascha’s flock, she now has over 50 sheep including rare breeds, such as Shetlands, Ryelands and her absolute favourites, Greyfaced Dartmoors.
We wanted to do something interesting and different with the wool the sheep provide us with and came up with the concept of Felting Rugs; so that’s how our company ‘Ewe Design’ was created.
